This recipe is one that you have to do by taste…not really any specific measures…but basically look at the pictures and you can kind of determine. I could have put more onions, cucumbers & tomatoes in here with this much liquid.
My liquid was about 1/2 cup Sugar, 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar and maybe 1/4-1/2 cup water. The vinegar needs to be sweetened…but you just have to do it the way you like it. I also cut out most of the seed cavity on the cucumbers. Seems to make it less “mushy”, or something.
You should make it ahead of time, to let the flavors “meld”.
My husband has been putting fresh basil and Feta Cheese in his lately. That is really good, too. But definitely not necessary!!
