As I’ve said before, my son is 9. We watch a lot of movies and go to the library a lot. The library is a homeschoolers best friend…that and the internet!
MOVIES
We finished “Wild America” last night. It is based on Marty Stouffer’s family. He’s the one that does all the great wildlife videos. It is a funny and inspiring movie. My son LOVED it. (He didn’t even want to watch it at first).
We recently watched “Free Willy”, he really liked it, too
BOOKS
A couple of others he’s read lately are The Mystery of the Mona Lisa by Elizabeth Singer Hunt, & A Dog on His Own by Mary Jane Auch.
The book we’ve been reading before bed is , “The Borrowers”. I like it and Caleb does, too. He does get bored with it a little, but then it gets exciting again. ( I’m too lazy to go upstairs to see who the author is!) It has been a popular book for some time.
Do you have any books or movies to suggest? We would love to hear about some we haven’t heard of!! Let us know!
that he is reading by himself right now are written by “Dan Gutman”. Titles include, “Mr. Hynde is Out Of His Mind”, “Mrs. Cooney is Looney”, Mrs. Kormel is Not Normal” and “Dr. Brad is Mad”. He loves these.
