Lynette – I have been reading and stuff, but didn’t ever come back to this post…looks like your family really needs an Amazon gift card. I really like that your FB page tells me when you update so that I know when to come look.
I think you could share a little more about your personal life and the funny things your little man says and does. People could find you if they really wanted, but I doubt it would happen.
I need to blog again and you might just be inspiring me to do so!!!
I don’t understand about my family needing a gift card..that is for you to win! I post the funny stuff and more personal stuff on my personal Facebook, I think my FB friends would get tired of hearing it twice. Especially since most of my blog readers are personal FB friends. I’m trying to get that changed!!
Hello, was reading Pioneer Woman’s comments and your link called out to me. Love the photo of your cardinal! I think that compelling bloggers blog about what is important to them, what they love. That attracts others with the same interests. Also, writing well is a big one for me. I have found that I need to focus and sythesize the thoughts that go through my brain when wanting to move forward. So not sure that you have the best name for a blog that you want to grow( but it is the name that drew me to the blog). We all have random thoughts because that is the nature of how our brain work. Yoga and many other philosophies teach that we must focus and tame those thoughts to go deeper. Wondering if that is actually what you might be reaching for.
Thought I’d wait and get my last entry in late, that way I’ll have a early, middle, and late chance at the prize LOL!!! Stay warm!
By they way….I LOVE the pic of the red bird on your blog. I have a friend that is a photographer and he did a candid shot last year of a red bird. I had him print it for me last year and gave it to my Momma
So far, I have taken every picture I have put on my header. This one was last years ice storm.
I like seeing some of my better pictures being displayed.
I couldn’t even began to dream of calling you anythng else beside ‘Aunt Pooh’…..when Mike says ‘Aunt Lynette’, the kids say ‘you mean Aunt Pooh’!!!!

well, likes- I like your blog name, I like your header (very pretty) and I love your button w/the chicken on it!
don’t like- it’s a smallish thing, I wouldn’t have mentioned it if you hadn’t asked for it..but I got all squimish and grossed out by the photos for the candle- wicking post..I think word descriptions are sometimes enough for some things..but then again, that just might be me…

I’ve been trying to brainstorm other ideas for your blog, but haven’t thought of much else. Here’s one thing – I really like the “fun” things on Coal Creek Farm, and Pioneer Woman, like the dancing videos, and impressions. That’s what keeps me going back to them. Don’t be self conconscious so much, don’t feel like you have to explain every thing, and don’t be so serious. Some things are just FUN. I don’t know if that came out right, it’s not a criticism, but an idea.
I like Jonna’s idea and you should be more spontaneous. Don’t think to hard, it will give you a headache. But like I said before you are doing great! Better then I ever could. You have called and told me things and laughed about them. Put some of your life experiences and lessons learned.
Kim & Jonna…I like your ideas, but sometimes I would rather not reveal too much about myself. One, because I don’t think people are that interested and 2..it is the internet…you never know who is watching. I think of tons of stuff when I am driving but I forget when I’m sitting if front of the computer and I can’t write them down at the time. Jonna, I think I will reveal that other nickname in another post. Not that I don’t like it, it kind of makes me feel good that you girls…and one nephew call me that. It’s like I have a SPECIAL name. When I was 6 yrs old, I told them I did not want to be called that anymore. Family still did some. Then when I was about 22…for some reason…it started again with friends.

Here’s another idea, I don’t know how to accomplish it, but the recipes might get more hits if there was a thumbnail pic to click on instead of just a list. I’m more likely to click a pic than a list. Just a thought.

The thing I enjoy most about your blog are the incredibly spectacular photographs. They are awesome! I love the pics, the recipes, and the useful information. It kind of reminds me of reading a “country” magazine, only I know the editor/publisher, and I can ask all the questions I want to.

Improvements, having never had a blog of my own it would be hard to say how to improve since I don’t know how long or how hard it is. I like the pictures, so more of those, and I think more of the everyday “stuff” of life. Kind of like a journal. Not every post has to have significance. Just “thoughts that go through your brain.”
Thanks Jonna…I’m trying to do a little more of that. I have been criticized by some wondering why do a blog…”Isn’t it just an online diary”. Great idea for a giveaway…wonder where you got the idea?!!! I think your doing a good job with your blog. But you sometimes go way too long w/out posting . That makes me forget to come look at it if I’ve looked several days and nothing new, then I start not bothering to come see.
